NOT JUST A
BUNK BED.
We built Mad Vervet because we were tired of sterile hotels and chaotic hostels. We wanted a place that felt like the living room of a friend who knows the city best.

"It started with two backpacks and a coffee in Addis."
Chasing the
Vervet Spirit
Mad Vervet wasn't a business plan; it was a reaction. A reaction to the disconnect we felt traveling through beautiful places but staying in spaces that walled us off from the local pulse.
We named it after the Vervet monkey—creatures known for their intelligence, social structure, and slight mischief. That's the energy we cultivate. Smart travel, deep community, and just enough chaos to make a good story.
Today, we are a collective of travelers, artists, and locals running houses in Nairobi and Addis, bridging the gap between luxury comfort and backpacker soul.
